It is no secret that food costs continue to rise.
One way to combat this is by growing vegetables in your backyard. Gardening provides fresh air and exercise and encourages healthy eating habits and an appreciation for fresh, nutritious food.
Our raised bed demonstration gardens in the Harold Young, Sr. Parklet on Penn Avenue are planted with vegetables, herbs and flowers, educating Parklet visitors on how to grow vegetables and flowers in home gardens.
